Worth knowing

The maker says it does not reduce hardness or TDS; its media changes hardness minerals so they do not bind into scale. It does not reduce iron or sulfur. The maker sets water limits rather than naming city or well: hardness under 15 gpg, alkalinity under 250 mg/L, pH below 8.3 and iron under 0.3 ppm. The 78-contaminant list on the product page is for Aquasana's Claryum filters, not this conditioner. Price recorded is the $1,758 MSRP; Aquasana showed $879 on Oct. 4, 2026, and the replacement tank at $774 against a $1,548 MSRP. Pre-filters come only in 3-packs at $36.99 and each lasts up to 2 months, so one pack is recorded as 6 months.
