Privacy
Updated
TapBuff sets no cookies, runs no analytics, has no accounts and asks for no email address. The ZIP code you look up is used to find your utility and is not stored.
Who runs TapBuff
TapBuff is operated by Henry Labs LLC, a Texas limited liability company. “We” and “us” on this page mean Henry Labs LLC.
What we collect
ZIP code lookups: the ZIP you enter is sent to our server in the page address so it can find the utilities that serve it. We do not store it, attach it to you, or use it for anything else.
Server logs: our host, Vercel, keeps standard request logs, including IP address and browser type, for a short time for security and abuse prevention.
Analytics: none. No analytics service runs on this site. If that changes, this page will name the service before it runs.
What we do not do
We do not sell, rent or share personal data. We do not use advertising trackers. Nothing on the site is behind an email form or an account.
Links to other sites
Links to filter makers, retailers, EPA and certifiers take you to their sites, where their privacy policies apply.
United States only
TapBuff is published for readers in the United States and is not available elsewhere.
Children
TapBuff is meant for adults responsible for a household’s water. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
