Worth knowing

Certified for five PFAS compounds, VOCs and two 401 claims; chlorine and chloramine reduction rest on the maker's internal testing only, and the performance data sheet says WQA did not evaluate them. The WQA listing says the full system is replaced at capacity and that aluminum must be reduced before treatment. Aquasana says it suits city and well water, but that its UV add-on must be added on well water for bacteria and viruses; NSF lists that UV to NSF/ANSI 55 Class B only. Needs a 120V outlet for the flow and capacity display; no drain line. Price recorded is the $4,198 MSRP; Aquasana showed a $2,099 sale price. Pre-filters come only in 3-packs at $36.99 and each lasts up to 2 months, so one pack is recorded as 6 months. No price is listed for a replacement tank.
