Worth knowing
Certified to NSF/ANSI 55 Class A at 10 gpm. The manual says Class A covers disinfection of microbiologically contaminated water that meets all other public health standards, on visually clear water, and calls for a certified cyst-reduction filter ahead of it on untreated surface water. It also calls for treatment first when hardness exceeds 7 gpg, iron 0.3 ppm, manganese 0.05 ppm, tannins 0.1 ppm or turbidity 1 NTU, or when UV transmittance is below 75%. The maker says it inactivates the listed organisms; NSF/ANSI 55 has no chemical claims. The maker describes it for large homes and light commercial use. VIQUA lists no prices and sells through dealers and retailers.
