Certification claims we could not find on a listing

  • Kenmore says it is tested and certified by NSF International and filters lead, mercury, cysts and chemicals including asbestos, atrazine and benzene; no NSF, IAPMO or WQA listing for 9690 or AGF80300801 was found on Oct. 10, 2026.

What it costs over five years

Replaced on the maker’s interval, the schedule the fridge’s own filter light keeps, at list price. Every filter is counted: the one that came with the fridge is long gone. It is rated for 200 gallons, so a household drawing more than about 1.1 gallons a day through the fridge runs it out sooner.

Worth knowing

Kenmore sells its filters through Sears PartsDirect, which belongs to the same company; Kenmore’s own site sends buyers there, so the price here is Sears PartsDirect’s. Its online price was $93.59 on Oct. 10, 2026; the list price is used here. Sears PartsDirect names only the most common models that take it, so many Kenmore refrigerators that use it aren’t listed: the number on your old filter, or your fridge’s manual, is the surest match. Sears PartsDirect sells it as part AGF80300801 and names LG as its maker.
